Compañía Kaari & Roni Martin has created a recognizable, unique artistic style of its own, and the company’s works have broadened the concept of flamenco as a versatile form of contemporary art. The strong connection between dance and music is something very special of the company – Kaari and Roni Martin are responsible for the composition of the works all the way from composing the music and choreography to performing the pieces, and most productions include a live orchestra. The company has been awarded several times, and composer, guitarist and singer Roni Martin has won the first prize for the best original score for dance in the world’s most prestigious choreography competition in Madrid. He has also received the Thalia award for the theatre music act of the year in Finland.

Compañía Kaari & Roni Martin has introduced several top musicians and flamenco artists along the years, like the Spanish singers Miguel Poveda and Rafael Jiménez ”Falo”, guitarist  Juan Antonio Suárez “Cano” and pianist Pablo Suárez. The artistic team has also included the Finnish trumpeter Antero Priha, violist Henrik Perelló, guitarist Jukka Orma and violist and composer Sanna Salmenkallio. The company has performed in 15 different countries. Kaari and Roni Martin have also released live recordings.
